Easter Break
below is a link to the HT Easter Break assembly which has been published in all of the base classrooms.
Easter School
As you know, we normally run a 'physical' Easter school each year for young people in S4-6 in preparation for completing SQA courses. This year we will run a 'virtual' Easter school. S4-6 have been invited, via their Base Classes, to join the Easter School online classroom where over 200 videos made by our own staff and staff from around Scotland have been uploaded. You can view the HT assembly Video attempting to explain it here!
From 15th March.
Please see our updates for WEEK 10 until Easter here
Please see the Parent/Carer letter below. Bus and subject information to follow.

From 15th February
Updated guidance for young people from 15th February is below.
Guardian email Summaries
You should receive an email invitation from the school asking you to 'join' a google class. Can you accept if you are the Guardian and by doing so, you can then receive email summaries of the work set for your youngster and what they have submitted. You are given some choices eg daily/weekly summaries etc and you can turn these off at any time. Please see the link below.
FROM 11th FEBRUARY (holiday weekend)
Updated guidance for young people from 11th February is below. It also contains information about the part time return to school from the 22nd February for Senior Phase (S4-6) youngsters in practical subjects.
FROM 1st FEBRUARY
Updated guidance for young people from 1st February is below.
FROM 25th JANUARY
Updated guidance for young people from 25th January is below.
FROM 18th JANUARY
Updated guidance for young people from 18th January is below - it includes more information on Google Meet and the revised timetable to include P5 on Mondays and Tuesdays.
FROM MONDAY 11th JANUARY 2021
As you know, school is open to those children of key workers and vulnerable youngsters from the 7th January 2021. From the 11th of January, all schools in Scotland move to remote, online learning.
Below are the instructions for each yeargroup about how this online learning will work. Pupils will be asked, where possible, to follow their normal timetable P1 to P4 each day, when teachers will be LIVE in Google classrooms to take questions, offer advice etc. In the afternoons, we would like young people to work independently, completing assignments and work left by teachers.
We will operate a very clear weekly structure ie when a young person enters their class they will see the work for the week clearly displayed eg WEEK 1 WORK. At the end of each week, we will all move on to the next WEEK 2 WORK and so on. We are aware some young people may have access issues with IT at times, and so the work will be available for completion at any time and the Information sheets below give clear instructions for young people in how to work within their classes.
If the closure continues beyond the 1st of February we will speak directly with S2 and S4/5 about the options processes at this point.
We are currently planning on having online Winter Assessments for our S5/6 during the last week in January (25th), replacing those we were due to undertake next week - we will give those young people more information as we get closer to the time.
Below are the instructions for each yeargroup. It is important that young people read over these and know what is expected of them from Monday 11th January 2021.
Please remember, we are in school and able to assist - simply contact the school office, the relevant year head DHT or the relevant Pupil Support Teacher who will be able to assist.
This year is not like other years in school. Covid 19 has meant more of us are at home for periods of time, and as such, have to access coursework from home. we use Google classes to upload materials and all young people have the codes and access to their own google classes relating to their subjects. in the first instance, we would direct them to these classes to find work to continue with. If however, for any reason, your youngster cannot access or find the relevant coursework, we have school-work which is available at any time to continue to support the learning of young people at home. This is below;
WORKING FROM HOME (SELF-ISOLATING)
If you are working from home as you are self-isolating, classwork will be left in your Google classes. If you have completed it, or you can’t access it, the materials below will help in all subjects. You can click on the live links and it will take you to the pages. This and the SCHOLAR whole course materials are in your Google Base classrooms.
You may also use the e-Sgoil online learning portal - you will need your Glow email address and your Scottish Candidate Number (ask your Guidance teacher for this).
This is an excellent resource and information about it can be found here
Visit the e-Sgoil website at
http://www.e-sgoil.com/studysupport2020/
Remember your base class codes and remember to check your Glow email addresses for updates.
If you cannot access your classwork or your specific google classroom, you must work through the following
