  • Harris  – Miss Webster
  • Lewis – Ms Murphy
  • Mull – Mr O’Donnell
  • Orkney – Mrs Macaloney
  • Skye – Mr MacGregor
  • DHT link – Mr Anderson

PSHE

PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) is a programme of coursework that is devised by the school’s Pupil Support team, who also take a leading role in delivering this programme. Pupils at Uddingston Grammar School attend one period of PSHE per week from S1 to S4. Additional PSHE opportunities are also arranged for senior pupils.

Our PSHE course covers five major themes, which are as follows:

  • Careers Education – helping pupils to make informed decisions about what they want to do when they leave school.
  • E-Safety – giving pupils information about how to stay safe on-line and when using social media.
  • Positive Choices – supporting pupils in making positive decisions in a wide range of social situations.
  • Positive Mental Attitudes – providing pupils with opportunities to promote good mental health in themselves and others.
  • Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood – providing pupils with information and opportunities to discuss a wide range of issues to do with relationships and sexual health.

Working in Partnership

Our Pupil Support staff are committed to working in partnership and value input from parents, pupils and colleagues. We also liaise with supporting partners such as Attendance Officers, CAMHS Youth Councillors, SDS, Education Psychologists, Social Work, Active Breaks, Outreach Support, KEAR campus and experts within the local community to ensure our pupils are fully supported.
